I started singing at the age of 5 in the Children’s Choir at my local Church in Seoul, South Korea.
All my youth, I was involved with occasional and regular singing performances within Church and my school. I believe this has laid down the foundation of a life-long passion of singing within me.
I started teaching children singing & piano when I was in high school. I went to University to study for a Composition degree, believing being able to write music and create new sound will enrich my musical ability to sing and teach.
Once I moved to Sydney with my family, I went to study Singing in Contemporary Worship at Hillsong International Leadership College and this led me to further study in a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice at the Australian International Conservatorium of Music.
While I was studying at Hillsong, I was given an opportunity to teach students from all over the globe in Singing Major, Ensembles, Musicianship, and Worship & Creative Arts Leadership to name a few. Also I served in the choir and had a wonderful experience of recording new worship songs each year. From these diverse experiences I now am able to help people with various types of auditions, special projects, song-writing, and performance preparation.
I am now teaching privately at my home in Richmond's West End, since my family and I moved to Richmond, VA in 2013.
My passion is to help people discover their ability to sing and see them grow in their own musical journey as a singer.
God has given us the ability to sing - anyone who can breathe can sing!
